Every day we have questions and seek information that would help us solve them.</div><div><br /></div><div>e.g. Which Lecturer is the best Action Research lecturer? This is a research question the answer to which you can discover in many different ways.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>What is the difference between Quantitative Research and Qualitative Research</b></div><div>Follow these links to learn more about the difference between, Qualitative Research and Quantitative Research. </div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://wilderdom.com/research/QualitativeVersusQuantitativeResearch.html">http://wilderdom.com/research/QualitativeVersusQuantitativeResearch.html</a> </div><div><br /></div><div> <a href="http://www.fortunecity.com/greenfield/grizzly/432/rra2.htm">http://www.fortunecity.com/greenfield/grizzly/432/rra2.htm</a> </div><div><br /></div><div>Please note that in Action Research may be Qualitative or Quantitative or both.</div><div><br /></div><div>Basically the difference between Quantitative and Qualitative depends on two main things:</div><div>1. In Qualitative you know what you are looking for when you find it. In Quantitative - before you find it you know what you are looking for and you may or may not find it. e.g</div><div><br /></div><div>If I am doing research on practicum I can say that Practicum has no influence on Teacher Performance. Then I can set out to see if this is so. This is Quantitative regardless of the methodology or design used. But I can also say "What influence does practicum have on Teacher performance".</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Dr Lionel Douglashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16916389303704706549noreply@blogger.com0
